State Adjusting Services

About State Adjusting Services

Built to sit on one side of the table.

Since June 2019, we’ve done exactly one thing: represent Illinois property owners in insurance claims. Not carriers. Not both sides. One.

Why we exist

Property insurance is a promise you pay for, sometimes for decades, in exchange for one thing: being made whole when disaster hits. But when that day comes, the process of collecting on the promise runs through adjusters, estimating software and settlement guidelines that all belong to the carrier. The policyholder — the person the promise was made to — is the only one at the table without professional representation.

State Adjusting Services was founded in 2019 to be that representation. We are licensed public adjusters: the only category of insurance professional legally permitted to represent you in a property claim. We read the policy the way the carrier’s lawyers wrote it, document damage the way carrier adjusters are trained to look for it, and negotiate with the leverage of people who do this every single day.

How we work

Our model is simple and it keeps us honest: we’re paid a regulated percentage of what you recover, and nothing before that. No retainers, no hourly fees, no invoices while your claim is open. If your claim doesn’t pay, we don’t either — which means we take on claims we believe in and fight them to the end.

We handle residential and commercial losses across Illinois from our base in Lincolnshire — hail, storm, wind, water, flood, winter, fire, tornado, explosion and vandalism claims. Every claim gets the same treatment: full documentation, an independent line-item valuation and a negotiation that doesn’t stop at the first "final offer."

The restoration connection

We work alongside State Restoration Services, a licensed, family-owned Illinois roofing and exteriors contractor. Illinois law separates the two roles — contractors may not negotiate claims, and that’s exactly how it should be. The partnership means the scope we win in your settlement is the scope that actually gets built, with no gap between the paperwork and the roof over your head. Using SRS is always your choice, never a condition.

I had a very positive experience working with this public adjuster company. From the very beginning, the team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping their clients. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable and experienced professional who truly works in their client’s best interest.

What we hold ourselves to

One side, always

We have never worked for an insurance company and never will. There is no version of this business where we sit on both sides of the table.

Evidence over opinion

Claims are won with documentation — photographs, measurements, policy language. We don’t argue feelings with carriers; we hand them facts they have to answer.

Straight answers

If a claim isn’t worth pursuing, we say so at the free review — and you’ve lost nothing. When we take a claim, it’s because we believe we can move it.

Aligned to the outcome

Our fee comes from your recovery, so every dollar we win for you is the only way we earn one. Incentives don’t get cleaner than that.

One conversation. We read the policy, look at the damage and give you a straight answer — even if that answer is "you don’t need us."
