State Adjusting Services

Our process

You’ve got one job: say yes once.

After that, the claim is our problem. Here’s exactly what happens, in order, from the first call to the settlement check.

  1. 01

    Free policy & claim review

We read your actual policy — coverage lines, endorsements, deductibles, deadlines — and give you a straight answer on whether the claim is worth pursuing. No fee, no obligation, no pressure.

  2. 02

    Document every dollar of damage

On-site inspection the way carriers train their own experts: roof to foundation, photos, measurements, moisture readings, contents inventories. Damage that isn’t documented doesn’t exist — so we document everything.

  3. 03

    Value the loss independently

We build our own line-item estimate at real, current construction cost — including code upgrades, matching requirements and everything the quick estimate leaves out. This number is the claim’s backbone.

  4. 04

    File & present the claim

The claim is filed complete: evidence, estimate, policy citations. We handle every call, letter and inspection request from the carrier — you stop spending your evenings on hold.

  5. 05

    Negotiate with the carrier

Line by line, against their estimate, with the evidence to win each line. Re-inspections, engineer reports, appraisal when needed. This is the part policyholders can’t do alone — and the part we do every day.

  6. 06

You get paid — then we do

Our fee is a percentage of the recovery, regulated by Illinois law, and it comes out of the settlement — never out of your pocket up front. If you don’t get paid, neither do we.

Damage just happened? Do these five things.

Great customer service. I was uninformed on this kind of work but this business helped me step by step with fixing my problem.

  1. Make it safe. People first — stay away from structural damage, standing water near electricity, and gas smells.
  2. Stop the bleeding. Tarp the roof, shut the water off, board the window. Your policy requires reasonable steps to prevent further damage — and reimburses them.
  3. Photograph everything first. Before cleanup, before repairs: wide shots, close-ups, video walkthroughs. Keep damaged parts — especially failed pipes and appliances.
  4. Keep every receipt. Tarps, fans, hotel nights, meals — emergency expenses belong in the claim.
  5. Call us before the recorded statement. The free review costs you nothing and sets the claim up correctly from the first conversation with the carrier: (630) 297-8136.
