Accessibility statement
Effective August 6, 2026 · Version 1.0
People usually reach this site right after something has gone wrong with their property, often on a phone and often in a hurry. It should work for everyone who needs it, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard commonly referenced for public-facing websites in the United States.
What we do
- Every page is tested with automated accessibility checks (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules) at phone and desktop widths, and findings are fixed before publishing.
- Text and background colours are checked against contrast minimums, including small print.
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- A “skip to content” link comes first in the tab order on every page.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers rather than described.
- Form fields have visible labels tied to them, and errors are given in text rather than by colour alone.
- Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for reduced motion, and pages can be zoomed.
Where we may fall short
Automated testing cannot catch everything, and some embedded third-party content — the Google map and the Cloudflare anti-spam check — is not fully under our control. If you hit a barrier anywhere, we treat that as a defect and want to hear about it.
