Effective August 6, 2026 · Version 1.0
We collect what you type into our forms so we can review your claim, plus basic technical data every website receives. We do not sell it. It goes to our own team, to the claims system we run the case in, and to the services that deliver our email and block spam — nobody else.
Who we are
State Adjusting Services is a licensed Illinois public adjusting firm at 1 Overlook Point Ste 252, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. This policy explains what we collect through stateadjusting.us, why, who it reaches and what you can ask us to do about it. Questions go to info@stateadjusting.us or (630) 297-8136.
What we collect
What you give us. Our forms ask for your first and last name, phone number, email address, optionally the property address, the type of loss and whatever you write in the message box. If you tick a consent box we also record that you did, when, from what page, your IP address and browser, and the exact wording you agreed to. If you call or email us instead, we hold what you tell us there.
What arrives automatically. Like every website, ours receives standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the site or search that sent you. We do not currently run any advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
Anti-spam. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which examines technical signals from your browser to tell people apart from bots. That check is processed by Cloudflare under its own privacy terms.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us through this website, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. If a claim needs documents like that, we will arrange a secure way to receive them.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and carry out the free claim review you asked for.
- To represent you if you engage us, and to keep a record of the work on your claim.
- To contact you about your enquiry — by phone or text only where you agreed to that, as described in our SMS & Call Terms.
- To keep the site working, secure and free of spam submissions.
- To meet the record-keeping duties that apply to licensed public adjusters in Illinois.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. It reaches:
- Our team. Form submissions are delivered by email to the shared inboxes our claims team works from. Some of those mailboxes are hosted on our construction partner’s domain because the two companies share office operations; only staff working your enquiry read them.
- Our claims software. Every enquiry also opens a record in CRM for Claims, the system we manage claim files in, so nothing is lost between an email and a case.
- Service providers. The mail provider that delivers our notifications, Cloudflare for anti-spam, and our website host. They process data for us, not for themselves.
- When the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
If you go on to hire us, information necessary to pursue your claim is shared with the parties involved in it — your insurance carrier and the professionals we bring in, such as estimators or engineers. That happens under the written contract you sign with us, not under this website policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become claims are kept while they might still be useful to you and then deleted. Where you become a client, records are kept for the period Illinois requires licensed public adjusters to retain claim files, and then disposed of securely. Consent records are kept for as long as we may need to evidence the consent.
How we protect it
The site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted, our logs are not publicly reachable, and access to the mailboxes and the claims system is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
If there were ever a breach
Illinois’ Personal Information Protection Act (815 ILCS 530) requires us to notify affected Illinois residents of a breach of unencrypted personal information in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, and to notify the Illinois Attorney General where more than 500 Illinois residents are affected. We would do that.
Your choices and rights
- Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
- Ask us to delete it, subject to the record-keeping duties above.
- Withdraw consent to calls or texts at any time — reply STOP to a text, or just tell us.
- Cookies: you can block or clear them in your browser without losing access to the site.
Illinois does not currently have a general consumer data privacy statute, but several other states do. If you live in a state whose law gives you rights over your personal information, tell us where you live when you contact us and we will handle your request under that law. In practice we deal with everyone’s request the same way. Email info@stateadjusting.us; we may need to confirm your identity before acting.
Children
This site is meant for adults dealing with property claims. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Other sites
Pages here link to services we do not control, such as Google Maps and our construction partner’s website. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If this policy changes, the version and effective date at the top of this page change with it. Material changes will be obvious on this page rather than buried.
